The Oceanside Inn welcomes you with the only accommodations in Scituate on the ocean and also comes with beach access.
You room, and this is true of all rooms, is just 30 feet from the Atlantic at high tide. Panoramic ocean views of Massachusetts
Bay with the ships sailing into Boston harbor "visible" from your bed and from your private balcony. The large deck, where breakfast
is served (weather permitting), also has chaise's for sunbathing or watching the ships or birds.
In 1920, as summer's heat settled in,
Boston's elite would travel from Beacon Hill to "The Summer House" at Scituate Harbor. Today, that summer house of yesteryear is
available to you year-round as Scituate's only waterfront Bed and Breakfast. Sitting on the ocean's edge, the Oceanside Inn is an
authentic New England beach house. The nostalgia remains with the beachstone fireplace and whitewashed matchboard walls but today the
experience is enhanced by central air, heat and whirlpool baths. To ensure your enjoyment of the fresh salt sea air, the Oceanside Inn is
a smoke-free environment.
View the flashing of Minot's Light across the ocean, the 1-4-3 flash says "I Love You." Although most beaches
are public in Scituate, access is limited to those with town stickers for parking. At the Oceanside Inn walk along the deck to the beach.
No stickers needed, swimming at your doorstep. Each summer, thousands travel Rte. 3 to Cape Cod without realizing that a hour before the
canal they had passed the route to a true New England fishing village. Scituate juts into Massachusetts Bay just twenty miles south of Boston.
Ferries are available to Boston for just $10 round trip or Provincetown allowing you to enjoy a wonderful 1.5 hour trip instead of hours of
traffic. Come join us and let the waves lull you to seep. The Inn is uniquely located for both sunrise and sunset and of course both over the ocean.
